Nope ! Just three pounds and inches are the same. Check your investments - there's bound to be ADM in there somewhere . . . and Frito-Lay, Pepsi, Coke . . . which owe some of their profits to ADM for that high fructose corn syrup., etc. Can you say Karo syrup ? The betetr-half loves pecan pie and that it the "glue" that holds it together.

How about we focus on good health and if we lose weight and inches, all the better! It's all about mental karma, CD... oooohhhhmmmm.... I have taken to reading books on the treadmill and love it, makes the time go by much faster! Another 'psychological trick' is to allow yourself ONE cheat day a week... cheat to eat and drink... and the other 6, just remember our BET: first one to lose 10% of body weight wins BIG!

To OldContidude: you may have lost only 3 lbs but you likely have lost much more than that in inches (remember: muscle weighs more than fat!)

Daffy: I'm happy to take the wine off your hands and return the bottles!

As for the Wal-Mart shoppers, unfortunately, inexpensive food is by far the least healthy one can consume (ever look at the ingredients in most bread products: #2 ingredient is HIGH FRUCTOSE CORN SYRUP... blame the 'farm bill' which subsidizes corn for ADM that is then produced into high fructose corn syrup and added to almost anything that is prepared...our legislators have been part of this amazing conspiracy of the fattening of America and yet they can't seem to get a health care bill passed to save their lives...oops, there goes the politics again! Sooorrryyy!

Check out these site regarding alcoholic content. You CAN enjoy that wine.

http://www.collegedrinkingprevention.gov/CollegeStudents/calculator/alcoholcalc.aspx

Drinking alcohol does not contribute to weight gain, according to scientific medical research. Alcohol contains calories, but drinking alcohol doesn't lead to weight gain, according to extensive medical research, and many studies report a small reduction in weight for women who drink.

Dearest Gavi! I've missed you. When the original ChapmanDeering site crashed and burned late last year, many of the old followers were wiped off the subscription list... so glad to see you back with such wise words. :-)

I promise to only think good thoughts towards all fat people...skinny too. OOOOOOOhhhhhhmmmmmmm.
