Sounds ominous, right?
I’m not talking about the end of times as predicted (so “they” say) by the Mayan Calendar on December 21…. no, it’s just that my fabu time in the southern climes is coming to a close and tomorrow I fly back to the northern cold for another month. Of course, that month is full of parties and gatherings and all manner of good possibilities. But once those good times are done, the long grey days of winter stretch on till spring.
I shall have to find the joy in the cold. Snow can be fun, right? I am not a winter bunny… don’t ski or skate and driving on icy roads is nasty. BUT!!! weathermen are predicting that New England’s temperatures and climate are slowly shifting, and we are soon to become North Carolina! Honest. I can live with North Carolina winters… so it’s just a matter of waiting… that, and planning another vacation south. I just booked a business trip south for mid January, and of course there is Ireland in May. The future has much to be desired.
Just living today. Pancakes for breakfast, a day at the pool, and much for which to be grateful. 🙂
What a life! It is snowing this morning in NE. Get ready
I am preparing my soul for re-entry…. will wear socks soon enough. 🙂
Welcome back…Christmas trees look best in New England….the smell of pine is divine!
Or, we could just move to Ireland! Slainte’!
