It’s time to start thinking about the upcoming holidays. (Do I hear screams in the background?)
What to buy, what to make, who to give what to…. and all of that stress! We all have so much “stuff” already. I’m trying to dig through old stuff I’ve been storing in the cellar… there isn’t much. I gave all the old Ball Jars to the free house not too long ago. (A left over from my days living in an apartment. I filled the jars with beans and other natural items and had them line the wall as decoration… made me feel a bit granola if you must know. No place for Ball Jars full of beans where I live now… not too much counter space, you see.) But I digress…. it’s time to start thinking about the holidays.
I just got an email for creating your own holiday cards… and I pass on the link, just in case you need cards… It’s one of those “make your own photo card” companies so you can feature your dog, cat, favorite gremlin on the front of your holiday greeting. Click on the ad if you are interested.
Meanwhile I’m thinking more of Thanksgiving, and falling autumn leaves. After the last storm, the backyard is covered again with a thick layer of wet soggy leaves. Raking them up is going to be a lot of fun, I’m sure. Sigh. It’s time like this I wish i lived in a land of sand and palm trees. Do palm trees drop their palms? Couldn’t be as bad as a red maple dropping thousands of leaves all at once!
Perhaps this year you and your near and dear can just exchange ‘consumables’; food, plants, golf balls?
Enough with the food references…I’m gaining weight thinking about it!!!
still THINKING about palm trees and sand!!!why not make it happen———–
